Wayne Wen, also known as 澄澈, is a Chinese singer-songwriter, producer, and arranger currently studying at Berklee College of Music.

Raised in Qinghai, China, Wayne entered professional music through a relatively independent and non-mainstream musical environment. After earning admission to arts programs in China, he chose to continue his education at Berklee College of Music in the United States to explore a broader range of musical expression.

His music is rooted in Chinese-language storytelling while drawing from R&B, alternative, indie, modern pop, and jazz harmony. Coming from a background in classical piano and vocal performance, Wayne approaches music from both a performer’s and producer’s perspective.

While studying abroad, he has begun turning experiences of distance, solitude, and cultural difference into creative energy. His goal is to combine an international musical vocabulary with Chinese expression and build a sound with a clear personal identity.

His process often begins with a lyric, a harmonic color, or a small melodic idea. From there, he develops each song through arrangement, vocal production, and close attention to the emotional shape of the performance.

Wayne is currently developing his own artist project and preparing to release more original music.
